TRACK BREAKOUTS Gain the experience...
The three Track Breakout Seminars have been designed to cover church-based training from the perspective of specific ministry leadership roles. Please review the following Track descriptions and consider purchasing a conference tape for the track that best describes your role.
We suggest listening to the tapes as a team to gain and share the insights
from each of the Tracks!
Track 1 – Governing Board Members and Senior Pastors
This Track is designed for the leadership team that is responsible for the spiritual health of the people entrusted to their care. Their role, as spiritual overseers, is to lay a foundation for ministry where people are developed in their faith, trained according to their gifts and provided opportunities for significant service to the body of Christ. While many leadership teams seek a “program” solution, church-based training challenges them to a “process” solution. In this Track you will cover the biblical mandate for developing qualified leaders, how to design a ministry plan that focuses on people development, how you can incorporate training resources within your plan and how to effectively implement a church-based training plan in your church… and it all begins with you!
Track 2 – Leadership Development Pastors and Education Pastors
This Track is designed for leaders who are responsible for building ministries around the vision and mission set forth by their governing board. Their role is to design a church-based pathway of growth and development for every person in their church, believer and pre-believer. In this Track you will discover how to build a church-based development pathway that: 1) is well defined and can be clearly communicated; 2) involves the acquisition of biblical knowledge (head), the development of godly character (heart), and the training of God-given skills (hands); and 3) results in people whose lives have been transformed and who begin to “think biblically” about the issues of life.
Track 3 – Ministry Team Pastors and Small Group Pastors
This Track is designed for the leaders in the church who connect the people in the church to the ministries in the church. Their role is to work with the leadership development and education pastors to develop a pathway of growth and development within their specific ministry area. This Track will encourage you to place a higher value on the development of people, over the success of a program, and provide you with strategies that will help you implement the resource materials you select in ways that foster growth and development through life-on-life mentoring relationships. |

ELECTIVE BREAKOUTS <back to top>
We brought together some of the best thinkers and practioners in the area of church-based leadership development to present elective seminars during our conference. Unfortunately, TAPES ARE NOT AVAILABLE for the elective breakouts.

The Leadership Baton - Rowland Forman, Jeff Jones, Bruce Miller
Many leadership teams long for a day when they have an over-supply of godly servant-leaders. Based on the title of their new book, the authors shared their church-based biblical case and action-plan for creating a culture that trains and develops men and women and prepares them to lead significant ministry in your church.

| |
Elders & Leaders - Gene Getz & Earl Lindgren
For a governing board to be truly effective in both the oversight and shepherding of the body of people that have been entrusted to their care, they must lead as a team. This seminar challenged primary leaders to a character-first basis for effective leadership, placing a strong emphasis on the “heart connection” that must exist between pastors and their governing board.

Multicultural Leadership - David Anderson
Based on his latest book, this seminar provided practical ideas for how you and your church can embrace greater cultural diversity and discover their unique rhythm in reaching the community where you are placed.
|
| |
The Fractal System - Wayne Cordeiro
This seminar presented the curch as truly a living organism, and that God has created it with rhyme and rhythm. The Fractal System helps you apply biblical principles to ministry, freeing you from a stress-filled environment to one of fruit-filled ministry.
|
The Connecting Church - Randy Frazee
The local church should be the place where believers experience the strongly interwoven relationships we were created for. This seminar gave practical guidelines for us to achieve the connectedness our hearts long for.
|
The Development of a Leader - Andy Seidel
Development is a life-long process, not a plug-in program. This seminar explained that, through phases of development, God is molding and shaping men and women into those He can use in a significant way to extend His kingdom.
|
| Leaders who Equip - Brad Smith
The purpose of church leaders is to equip people to do works of ministry in a way that the whole body grows to maturity. If discipleship is practiced only as a teaching or small-group discussion process, over time, church members redefine their spiritual growth in ways that don't include serving, sacrifice, or strain. This seminar focused on practical ways church leaders can move their people from merely 'hearers of the word, to doers of the word."

Becoming an Irresistible Influence - Rick Caldwell and Steve Snider
Fellowship Bible Church of Little Rock is known for its innovations in leadership development, as described in Dr. Robert Lewis' best-selling book, “The Church of Irresistible Influence.” This seminar introduced you to their “Men's Fraternity”, an equipping program for men, and their “Leadership Residency”, a one-year training program that attracts some of the top young aspiring church planters from all over the country.
