This
seminar will encourage you to make Leadership Development,
according to 2 Timothy 2:2,
a core ministry value... |
|
Many
would say it already is a
ministry value, but if it were,
wouldn't the church and
culture look different? |

Seminars
“ALL TO MATURITY...
MANY TO LEADERSHIP”
CCBT Seminars are one-day events designed for movement, not simply information, optimizing both your time and investment toward staff and lay leader development. Church-based training is not simply another program to try in your church… it is a culture, a value that permeates every ministry in your church. Church-based training is a ministry platform, utilizing multiple resources, to intentionally develop every person in a local body of believers.
The Center for Church Based Training met with 525 churches during our
2006 Seminars in 17 cities across the country to discuss church leadership…
not simply what it is, but how to develop people, and ministry plans,
around biblical principles that will result in greater impact for Christ.
We asked those that attended these Seminars what their greatest “take away” was… here are some of the replies we received:
“Hope!...that our church can become a disciplemaking church.”

“A better understanding of what elders do and how they should accomplish their responsibilities.”

“Understanding it is the principles and not just a program.”

“That we can develop our forms by placing every idea through the lens of Scripture.”

“A vision for a 'Maturity Path' for our church, and some tools to help us implement it.”

“The vision to broaden our leadership base… to pass the baton.”

“A conviction to make development of leaders a high priority this next year.”

Elders and Leaders Retreats
Church Board members are usually
very godly and gifted leaders with proven faithfulness to the church.
The time a Board spends "in community," studying the scriptures
to address ministry issues, is clearly a significant use of their time
and will result in their more effectively shepherding the body. The Retreat
we have designed will jump-start your Board into this "learning in
community" process through the book, Elders and Leaders:
God's Plan for Leading the Church, and the companion, Elders
and Leaders FIELD GUIDE.
