Participants are challenged to evaluate their spiritual state as church leaders, as individuals and as a team. “Careful attention to one's inner life is an indispensable prerequisite of providing leadership to others.” A leader who is “full of the spirit” recognizes the importance of dependence on the Holy Spirit in every aspect of their role in the church. This issue encourages elders and leaders to develop their personal walk with God and to hold each other accountable on moral and spiritual matters.
