Elder Project

I work with the Elder Project for CCBT and serve as the facilitator for The Elder Retreat as requested by churches that are using our leadership resources.

I have served in a leadership capacity in churches for over 40 years. I have been an elder at Chase Oaks Church (formerly Fellowship Bible Church North) for over 20 years and continue to serve in that role. For much of that time, I served with Dr. Gene Getz, who is now our Pastor Emeritus, teaching and developing various books that have risen out of our leadership and ministry experiences. The most recent book is Elders and Leaders-God’s Plan for Leading the Church. CCBT has paired that with the Elders and Leaders FIELD GUIDE and these two resources are the heart and motivation for the work we do with The Elder Retreat.

I am a retired businessman, married to my wife, Charlotte for 47 years. God has blessed us with two daughters and 5 grandchildren, 4 girls and a boy, who definitely light up our lives.
