We designed our courses and discipleship experiences around this six step facilitated learning framework. Proven by thousands of people and hundreds of teams, the WISDOM process follows a biblical model that moves small group learning communities and elder boards from simply learning facts to letting God transform their lives.
Work the Issue: What’s really at stake?
To think wisely we must first grasp the real issue. While it may seem self-evident, it can actually be complicated. Deeply explore the problem to make sure we understand what is really at stake.
Investigate Scripture: What does God say?
After grasping the issue, we first turn to scripture to see what God has told us – examining and comparing several passages in context.
Seek Counsel: What do other people say?
Proverbs teaches it is wise to seek the counsel of mature believers. Our content includes carefully-researched input to help you understand God’s word better.
Develop your response: What do I think?
Write down your initial conclusions to the issue even if they are tentative. Responding in writing will deepen your interaction with God’s word and sharpen your thinking.
Openly Discuss: What do we think?
Life transformation happens when we sharpen each other in dynamic discussion – wrestle together with how to understand and obey God’s word. Prepared facilitators led by the Holy Spirit generate a dynamic in which ideas and wisdom multiply beyond what an individual can produce.
Move to action: What will I do?
After discussion, revisit your initial response and modify it if necessary. Then identify what God wants you to do to obey him specifically.
